BUILD A PRAISE PORTAL

Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.

This scripture is very inspirational to me. It talks about lifting up gates. A gate is an entry or exit to & from a walled city. A portal if you will.
PORTAL - entranceway, doorway, entry, threshold; an entrance to a tunnel or mine.
A web site that functions as an entry point to the Internet.
When passing through a portal there is usually a change...
1. Scenery (inside -vs- outside)
2. Atmosphere (danger -vs- safety)
3. Temperature (cold or hot -vs-comfortable)

The Psalmist here gives us a key on how to build a portal to the earth so that the Lord may enter in.
Worship & praise to God is what miraculously builds a portal in which the Lord (of hosts) may enter in and demonstrate His glory & His power. When a blind man heard that Jesus was passing by he began to cry out to draw attention to himself. Worship & cries of desparation get God's attention.

Mark 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

I believe that many times we pray about things all wrong. Instead of praying "God get me out...",
we should pray "Lord come on in and fix this situation...".
Perfect example was Paul & Silas in the Philippian jail. They weren't praying to get out of jail, they were "praising" God & He came in.

Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

So when things aren't going like they should, build a praise portal and invite the Lord, Mighty in Battle, to come into your life, your situation, your need. He is the King of Glory.

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
AMEN
